A plague unmasked

Ian D’Elia, HC ’22

I wrote A Plague Unmasked over the summer between my sophomore and junior years and in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, in August 2020. This poem draws a parallel between the literal pandemic and the underlying plagues of disconnection, poverty, misinformation, paranoia, domestic abuse, and police brutality, all of which COVID-19 made more visible to the public eye.
